Case Study - Battersea Power Station
Battersea Power Station is already an iconic image immediately recognisable and held in much affection by Londoners and visitors alike. Having been the subject of many thwarted development schemes over the years, The Power Station is set to become a premium retail and leisure destination.
Britton McGrath Associates have worked closely with Parkview Development plc, the owners and developers of Battersea Power Station, since 2002 during which time we have carried out a series of studies contributing to the strategic planning and development of this project.
The most far reaching of these has been the development and management of an extensive two-year period of qualitative and quantitative research, the results of which developed into an econometric model to forecast future performance in terms of volume and value. The outputs of this complex model have been used extensively to inform the design development, tenant marketing and negotiation, as well as to secure bank funding for the project.
Most recently we have been developing the guest services strategy looking at the products and services The Power Station might offer in order to deliver greater competitive advantage. Guest services bind the physical and tangible elements of the product experience together and can both maximise the delivery and experience of an individual element in The Power Station mix or enhance the overall visit as a whole.
In this way Britton McGrath Associates have been helping Parkview International develop a seamless branded experience which will enable The Power Station to compete effectively with the sophisticated and already well established premium London retailing and leisure destinations. |
