Britton McGrath Associates is an independent strategic management consultancy founded in 2001 by Jill Britton and Nancy McGrath and specialising in the leisure and tourism markets. We work with private and public sector operators, local authorities, property developers, charities, consortia and entrepreneurs to help them deliver on their commercial, business and other organisational objectives.
Our approach is to work collaboratively with our clients, stakeholders and other professional advisors to add value through our breadth of industry experience whilst utilising and complementing existing on-the-ground knowledge.
Jill and Nancy have successful track records in senior marketing and board level management at some of the UK’s most commercially successful visitor attractions including Madame Tussaud’s, Alton Towers, Warwick Castle and the London Eye. Our backgrounds are highly commercial and rooted in the philosophy that delivering the visitor experience is at the heart of ensuring financial success.
Over the last two decades we have applied our operator and commercial experience across a range of categories including heritage attractions, museums and art galleries, leisure retailing, mixed use developments, observation attractions, zoos and animal parks, theme parks and landscape & garden attractions.
We are used to dealing at the highest level with diverse stakeholders, executive boards and charitable trusts. We use evidence-based analysis, our operator experience and our breadth of industry experience to bring an objective and well-informed perspective to aid the strategic decision-making process. For existing operators, we work with the senior management team bringing a fresh-eyes perspective to complement the existing operational team or, in the case of start-ups or commercial organisations such as property developers, we advise at the feasibility and concept development stages and often then go on to act as the client representative at the delivery stage.
